A few months ago, after reading You Are A Badass, I got back to meditating on a regular basis. I now try to take at least 15 minutes every day to clear my thoughts and relax. Since talking about meditation and mental health on the blog, y’all have asked for the best meditation tracks I use.
I have found more than a few I like and I tend to go back to the same ones at specific times. I use the app Insight Timer – which was a recommendation from a few friends and readers. It’s perfect because tracks are sorted by time and you can filter by theme. Plus, they have thousands of the best meditation tracks for free!
So, I’m going to share my favorite recordings with the caveat that meditation is incredibly personal and what works for me, might not work for you. I encourage you to play around with different tracks until you find the ones you love. Regardless, this list might help get you started.
The Best Meditation Tracks …
… For an energetic start to your day
Morning Meditation, By: Bethany Auriel-Hagan
6 minutes
Why I love it: Sometimes if I’m up early (rare, but it does happen), I will lay in bed and do a nice morning mediation to energize myself for the day ahead. This bright meditation puts me in a great mindset while focusing on confidence and self-love.
… For when you’re needing a little extra encouragement
Law of Attraction & Abundance, By: Gale Minchew
20 minutes
Why I love it: Full disclosure, this one is a bit cheesy. So why did it make the list? After some breathing exercises – which I’m a huge fan of – it dives into all the affirmations you could possibly think of. It serves as a great reminder that you are in control of your emotions and life and have the power to stay positive.
… For when you’ve only got 5 minutes
Simply Being – Relaxation & Presence, By: Mary Maddux
5 Minutes
Why I love it: I do try to meditate most evenings before bed, but sometimes I really need a mid-day stress relief and only have a few minutes to spare. I don’t totally love Mary’s voice, but this is one of the best meditation tracks I’ve found that’s short and sweet. It’s a great way to reset during a chaotic day.
Note: this one ends in silence, so if you find yourself nodding off during meditation, may be best to set an alarm to bring you back.
… For when you just need to get to sleep
Relax Into Deep Sleep, by: Meg James
20 minutes
Why I love it: This is one of the few sleep meditation tracks I’ve found that hasn’t had my brain running wild after it’s done – it actually sends me into a restful sleep. I love Meg’s soft accent and calming voice. This one has minimal guidance, so it’s a great recording after you’ve gotten the hang of meditation a bit.
… For when you’re needing a little extra guidance
Manifest Your Unlimited Potential, By: Mark Guay
19 minutes
Why I love it: I love this track because Mark is extremely prescriptive throughout the entire meditation. Even goes as far as counting inhales and exhales by a four count. It’s hard for my brain to wonder off when listening to this one. Added bonus: it has some affirmations built in it as well.
Do you meditate? What are some of your favorite tracks I should check out?

This is so helpful! I’ve been having trouble falling asleep lately – I’m definitely going to give these a try. Thanks!

I love the one I listed for sleep! Some of the others I tried were making me have weird dreams! 😂🙈

So this is going to sound like a cheesy infomercial…so bear with me. But, I’ve been doing the sleep meditation one for the last three nights and the results have been amazing! Not only do I fall asleep almost right away (literally never happens for me) but I feel like I’ve been having a more restful sleep altogether. It might be other factors but I really feel like I’ve been sleeping deeper and with less interruptions. Thank you! Ok…end infomercial… 🙂

Not cheesy at all! I love this! It really is a great way to unwind and clear your head before bed! I love the morning one too to start the day right and it’s a shorter recording.
