This week is my last week of normalcy for a while – I’m headed out of town on Sunday and then have friends and coworkers in town for the next three weeks! So, I’ve been focusing on working out, eating at home, and getting chores done around the house. Writing this blog has been a nice little creative break! Here are some things I’m loving in the moment.
In The Moment: Things I Love on April 5, 2018
1. Emerald Ottoman | 2. Spice Jars | 3. JillMakes on Etsy | 4. Gorgeous Travel Accessories | 5. Echo Dot
Emerald Ottoman
I was browsing Pinterest today and a picture of the cutest office. The desk was centered in the room and had an ottoman under it to use as a foot rest – why didn’t I think of this?! Since my desk is up against the wall, an ottoman would be mostly hidden, but I still would like one that I could use in the future as a standalone piece. For some reason, I’m feeling a jewel tone for this – and I love the idea of having a place to store a blanket!
Spice Jars
As part of my mini kitchen makeover, I’m hanging spice racks on the wall to free up cabinet space. Since the spices will be visible now, I want all of the jars to be uniform. Turns out, this type-A girl is absurdly excited about matching spice jars. I love these square glass ones because they have a dual lid with a shaker on one side and a spoon scoop on the other. Functional and beautiful.
JillMakes on Etsy
I just rediscovered this amazing Etsy shop and I’m so in love with all the color and beads and tassels! While I pretty much want everything, a girl can only have so many keyrings. The ones pictured above are so cute, but I also love these and these.
Gorgeous Travel Accessories
I’ve been following this artist on Instagram for a while now, and I just noticed she has a partnership with Anthropologie with some seriously cute goods. Do I need a passport cover? No. Luggage tag? Nope. But they’re so fun and pretty to look at.
Echo Dot
Okay, so last week I bit the bullet and got an Apple Watch. And I love it. I didn’t go with the Kate Spade watch strap because they only make it in silver – which I personally think was a dumb move. Anyway, not the point. When I had a FitBit I wore it to bed and could easily check the time just by glancing at my wrist. So, in a move where technology meets pure laziness, I purchased an Echo Dot for my room so I can ask it what time it is when I don’t want to get up. It can’t get here soon enough …
