Okay, friends, this blog week is going to be a little weird with all these fantastic sales going on! In case you’re living under a rock today and tomorrow are Amazon Prime Day. In the past, I haven’t been totally wowed by the savings, but I already snagged one great deal today, so will share some of my top picks. And last Friday, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicked off with early access for cardholders. I have a huge list going of my purchases, my dream buys, and what I’m still watching for restocks!
So, today I’m going to cover Amazon Prime Day. Then the #NSale post is just going to go live as soon as I finish it – might be tonight, might be tomorrow. TBD. Thursday we’ll have a regular Things I Love, then I’ll be back Friday for the first regular day of the Anniversary Sale and my top restocked picks.

It’s hard to predict what’s going to be going on sale when, so I’m going to post about some of my top Amazon finds as of late and if you can snag the at a discount, even better!
Travel Makeup Case
I’ve been carrying the same jumbled travel makeup bag for years and every time I look at it I just groan. There are makeup stains all over it, the zipper snags at the end, and everything is just thrown in the center. I keep hearing about this makeup case that comes with customizable dividers. The black is on a Prime Day deal $14 instead of $19, but I think I’ll wait it out and hope the pink drops in price soon too.
Stoneware Bowls with Bamboo Lids
I’ve been eyeing these pretty kitchen bowls with bamboo lids for months and they’re on a great discount today – $28 regularly $48! Now to decide between pink and blue …
Compact Strider
I keep this guy tucked under my desk at home so I can move my legs some during the day and set it in front of the TV in the winter when I’m not feeling like walking to the gym. It’s not the same workout you get on a treadmill or full elliptical, but it’s pretty handy when you aren’t going to get in exercise otherwise! It’s half price today – $99 down from $200.
Revlon Hot Air Brush Hair Dryer
For years, I’ve been using this basic model hot air brush from Revlon, but over the past few months, there have been tons of reviews for this higher-end version. Today I made it happen since it was $36 down from $60!! I can’t wait to try it and let you know how it compares!
Amazon Echo Dot and Smart Plugs
If you’ve been to my house you know I have an Echo or Echo Dot in every room and lights are hooked up to smart plugs so I can voice activate them and turn them on remotely from my iPhone when I’m out of town. The Echo Dot is on a killer deal today – $22 vs. regular $50! The smart plug doesn’t look like it’s going to be a part of Prime Day, but it’s worth every penny of the $24.99 it costs.
Instant Pot DUO Plus
Y’all, my mom got me this a month ago for my birthday and it’s now $56 (down from $130). Sheesh! Great deal if you’ve been slow to the Instant Pot train like I was!
KitchenAid Standing Mixer
Here’s one of those “if money were no object” buys. Well, for me, more realistically, it’s one of those “if I had more than 3 square feet of counter space” buys. These beauties – in other non-girlie colors too – are $240 today – down from $460!
23 and Me – Health and Ancestry
I took my 23 and Me DNA test earlier this year and it was so cool to have a bit more background into my heritage. This is such a great gift – especially for hard-to-buy-for people – and today it’s half off – $99 vs. $199.
Pearl Barrettes
Those pearl barrettes I raved about in last week’s Things I Love aren’t a part of Prime Day right now, but they do have a 5% off coupon.
Paper Bag Pants
These trendy paper bag pants look like they may be a lightning deal at some point during Prime Day, so keep an eye on them. I love the olive green! I also had them as a splurge vs. steal in my summer style post.
Silicon Airpods Case
This was one of the best buys south of $10 I made last year because it helps me keep my Airpods in an easy to grab spot in my bag. Plus, they’re on a small discount for Prime Day, because why not.
Treat Tossing Pet Camera
Any my final “if money were no object” wish list item of Prime Day is this treat throwing dog (or cat) camera. You can control it via WiFi to show your pets some love when you’re out of town or at work! I’m pretty sure Rocky would find a way to destroy it for alllll the treats, though.
