The Ordinary AHA / BHA Peel
For months, I’ve been tempted to spring for Drunk Elephant’s Babyfacial which I’ve heard is an amazing product. And it probably is, but with the price tag, I just couldn’t justify it. Instead, I found a very similar product from The Ordinary for a $65 price difference! I just used it for the first time last week and I love the way it makes my skin look. Plus, finishing it with the marula oil was so luxurious.
The Best No Show Socks
My friend discovered these no-show socks on Amazon and after borrowing them on my last visit I was hooked. They’re a little pricey, but worth every penny. The seams are in the right place so they don’t rub on your toes and the do not slip. At All. Given I’ve been practically living in my Shoreliners this summer, they’re a big win.
Maison Marcel
Last Saturday, my friend and I went to try Maison Marcel in Lakeview and fell absolutely in love. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so authentic. On Sunday, I was so excited about it, I begged my family to go to their new walk-up window in Lincoln Park. Not only is the place absolutely stunning, but the food and drinks are just as good. Now all I have to worry about is it being a little TOO close to my house.
Veronica Mars
Who’s excited about Veronica Mars season 4 coming to Hulu later this month?? ME! To celebrate and prepare, I re-watched all three of the first season plus the movie and it was just as amazing the second time around. Here’s the preview for season 4 if you haven’t seen it yet.
Iced Tea Press
Y’all know my love of Starbucks knows no bounds, but I also enjoy a nice iced tea made at home with one of my green or herbal teas as well. I’ve had an iced tea press like this one for years, but just got back into it and have been making tea for myself daily. It’s so easy to use and clean – a big requirement in my book. Plus, you can use any tea you have at home which is a bonus.
