Well hello, and greetings from gate A19 at Midway Airport! This long weekend, I’m headed to Atlanta to soak up all the friend time I can – bouncing around from lunch dates to a Braves game, and even a 5K on Saturday. Fingers crossed I don’t die!
Before I get into the things I love this week, I wanted to remind you that I have an awesome guide to visiting Atlanta’s Beltline. Since I lived in Atlanta for 8 years, it didn’t feel right to do a full travel guide, but the Beltline is a pedestrian walk / bike way – similar to New York’s Highline or Chicago’s 606. If you’re heading to Atlanta, I’d be happy to recommend some spots for dinner, but what I’m really going to tell you about is this awesome (and free) activity!
Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming …

525 America Emma Sweater
Last week, I neglectfully left this amazing sweater off my list and got totally called out by my friends! So, the story is 3 of my friends and I are all vastly different sizes, but somehow all can wear – and look good in – this magical sweater! It was a lifesaver on vacation when I forgot to bring something orange or blue to cheer on the Gators in and wound up borrowing this from my friend. We’re calling it the sisterhood sweater for obvious reasons. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it and as I discovered tonight, it’s perfect to travel in.
A note on sizing: even if you’re going for an oversized look, size down. I typically wear an XL top but in this sweater, I can comfortably wear a Medium, although, I prefer the look of the Large.
Bloom Wolf Studio
If you watch my Instagram stories, you know I went to Markets for Makers in Ravenswood on Sunday. Hands down the best craft show I’ve been to – although my wallet disagreed! There was one vendor in particular – a designer I’ve been following on Instagram for years – where I went a little overboard. I seriously could have walked away with one of everything. Betsy (the girl behind Bloom Wolf) has so many cards, notepads, art prints, and stickers galore. Plus, my friend and I stayed to chat with her a bit and she’s so sweet!
I’m totally digging this floral bouquet design, but she also does city prints and happens to have one for every city I’ve lived in … Chicago, Atlanta, Gainesville, Cincinnati, and St. Petersburg!
Layered Necklace Clasp
Layering necklaces seem all the rage, and until now, I just haven’t been able to get on board. Why not? The twisting and tangling is infuriating and they never seem to lay right. Then I had an ad come up for this product that claims to solve all woes. Let’s be real: I’m probably not going to spend $60 on a backordered Necklet, but I will definitely consider this $14 version on Etsy! And who doesn’t love to support a small shop??
Yellow Rocksbox Earrings
I’ve been talking about Rocksbox a lot lately, but that’s only because I truly love this service! (You can read more about it here.) Today, though, I want to dial in on these super fun yellow earrings that came in my first box! They’re super bright and lightweight – which is always my biggest qualm with statement earrings. These are perfect for spring and summer, and I’m thinking I might just buy this pair!
PS. I’m a Rocksbox partner, so if you shop through this link and use the code bumbleandbustlexoxo you’ll get your first month free!!
Tom Hanks
Y’all. I went to one of the weirdest events / celebration ever this weekend … International Tom Hanks Day. Apparently a few guys started a Tom Hanks movie marathon in college, which has snowballed into parties all over the world, a charity fundraiser, and involvement from the man himself! I had forgotten how many movies Tom Hanks has been in over the years – and how many good ones at that. If you’re looking for a weekend activity, I highly recommend Turner and Hooch, That Thing You Do, and of course, A League of Their Own.
