Every season, I try to make a shopping guide that curates the latest trends. Some of the items I own, some I want. And some of those I will buy, some I will have to pass on. You can call it a winter shopping guide for those looking to buy or a fun inspiration board for those who just love fashion.
Claire’s Winter Shopping Guide
Winter Shopping Guide: Shirts & Sweaters
1. Torini Faux Fur Vest by Lilly Pulitzer
I’m dying for this vest in every color, but especially this deep teal. Fingers crossed it makes an appearance in the Summer After Party Sale!
2. V-Neck Waffle Knit Tee by Caslon at Nordstrom
I own this top in a light blue (above) and tbh, wish I had one in every color. It’s made with a super cozy fabric – almost a flannel – and is great for a winter casual look.
3. Heartbeat Silk Top by Kate Spade New York at Nordstrom
Still looking for a cute top to wear for Valentine’s Day? This is my pick! If it were me, I’d throw a cute leather jacket over it.
4. Champagne Sweatshirt by J Crew at Nordstrom
Non-hooded sweatshirts are definitely making a comeback and I love this one with different types of bubbly.
5. Army Green Ribbed Henley on Amazon
This is possibly my weirdest find of the season, but I fell in love with this shirt when I asked a waitress at Etta where they got their uniform shirts because I liked it so much. It’s a total budget find on Amazon, but runs WAY small, so size up one or even two.
6. Pointelle Ruffled Sweater from LOFT
This feminine sweater from LOFT really has my heart in its pastel purple glory.
7. Quinn Top by Rebecca Minkoff at Nordstrom
Okay, this top is a bit out of my price range, and I normally don’t even go for paisley, but something about the ribbon embellishments just calls to me.
Winter Shopping Guide: Bottoms
8. Faux Leather Moto Leggings by SPANX at Nordstrom
I’ve been very into the look of moto leggings lately and think they’re especially cute with some booties.
9. Pleated Midi Skirt by Love, Fire at Nordstrom
I love the feminine look of this – especially with a dark shirt as a contrast. This is another find that would look lovely in winter and transition well to spring.
10. Side Zip Plaid Skinny Pants by Wit and Wisdom at Nordstrom
I love the extra detailing with the subtle plaid and size zippers on these pants.
Winter Shopping Guide: Dresses
11. Floral Tie Waist Dress from LOFT
I love this dress for a winter-to-spring look. Winter it gets tights and boots; spring it gets ballet flats.
12. Long Sleeve Pleated Dress on Amazon
I would assume clothing that’s this inexpensive on Amazon is pretty hit or miss. I’ve had good luck with most of my purchases thus far, but haven’t given this one a try. I love the green, but may grab the royal blue for next football season.
13. Floral Velvet Shift Dress by Eliza J at Nordstrom
I love a good floral and this one is just so warm and wintery with the velvet detailing. It’s also on sale!
14. Bow Back Shift Dress by Halogen at Nordstrom
Showing the back of this dress since the bow is so cute! You’d definitely want tights, but it’s on sale right now for under $40!!
Winter Shopping Guide: Shoes
15. Leopard Tassel Loafers on Amazon
Okay, these are definitely the winter shoes to wear when you’re going door to door in a car. But they’re a great style and match everything! Plus, you can’t beat the price.
16. Waterproof Norma Bootie by Blondo at Nordstrom
Blondo booties are my favorite for winter because they’re fashionable while functional. A little snow or rain won’t stop these guys and there’s plenty of tread. They’re the perfect shoe to take you into spring too. I own two pair – one of which is still in great shape after three winters!
17. Eyelet Lace Up Sneakers from LOFT
LOFT is killing the shoe game this season – there were a bunch I liked, but these seemed like an awesome choice for staying warm without going full boot.
Winter Shopping Guide: Accessories
18. Moss Aquamarine Earrings by Ginger and Pearl on Etsy
The designer of these earrings is one of my favorite Etsy sellers and an absolute sweetheart! I love this design specifically because the moss aquamarine is perfect for a winter look.
19. Glitter and Stars Tulle Socks by Lirika Matoshi on Etsy
I keep seeing tulle socks pop up everywhere and while I love the look, I’m not quite sure how I would wear them in practice. I’m going to keep thinking about how one might style these and perhaps look to purchase in the future!
20. Plaid Blanket Scarf from LOFT
Living in Chicago, I own plenty of scarves. But, if I were going to buy a new one, I love this cool-colored one from LOFT.
Winter Shopping Guide: Outerwear
21. Faux Shearling Jacket from LOFT
I’m not a huge fan of the teddy-bear jacket crazy that’s taken over, but I love this as a somewhat muted take on it. It’s classier in its subtlety, in my opinion.
22. Floral Puffer Jacket from LOFT
I rarely see outerwear with a print beyond something animal. I love this black and floral puffer – especially as we move into spring!
23. Long Wrap Coat by J Crew at Nordstrom
J Crew always seems to kill the coat game and this gorgeous purple number is no exception.
24. Lightweight Modern Blazer from LOFT
Okay, so not exactly a coat, but I love this blazer so so much. I need to make some returns to LOFT and plan to try it on this week!
