Winter is in full swing in Chicago right now. We’re past the polar vortex, but temps don’t look like they’re going to get over 40 for the foreseeable future. I thought it was the perfect time to share some of my favorite styles for winter … today we’re talking nail colors for winter and tomorrow will be winter fashion.
Given my obsession lately with dip powder nail polish, I’m including a couple of those in here as well! There are kits you can get to use at home (this is the one I have) or you can ask a salon professional if they have these colors – they go by brand and number.
1. Essie Petal Pushers | 2. OPI Rice Rice Baby | 3. Butter London All Hail The Queen | 4. OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress | 5. SNS WW02 Snow Ball | 6. SNS NOS 12 | 7. OPI Get Cherried Away | 8. Smith & Cult Ghost Edit | 9. Lavender Violets Purple Hebe | 10. Essie Marshmallow
Essie Petal Pushers
I’m normally not a fan of gray, but I do love it in the winter, especially with a touch of blue or green like this one.
OPI Rice Rice Baby
This pink shade is from OPI’s Winter 2019 line and is the perfect pale meets bubble gum. Plus, I love a light pink on a daily basis since it works in the office.
Butter London All Hail The Queen
I love a good bronze-y brown shade in the winter. Just enough to be different without being too crazy.
OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress
This. Is. My. All. Time. Favorite. Nail. Color. You don’t understand. I’m obsessed and have probably gone through a dozen bottles of this color alone since I discovered it in 7th grade. And, it’s specifically perfect in winter!
SNS WW02 Snow Ball
I have yet to explore the dip nail colors as much, but I love SNS’s winter line and all the glitter options. This one is perfect for a week when you have a nice event.
SNS NOS 12
This is my go-to color these days because it’s sheer nude / pink with a hint of shimmer.
OPI Get Cherried Away
Another one of my long-time favorite colors. It goes on with a more berry / pink tone and is great year round!
Smith & Cult Ghost Edit
I haven’t tried Smith & Cult polishes yet, but am totally digging this shimmery neutral.
Lavender Violets Purple Hebe
This color came in the dip nail polish set I purchased and is surprisingly subtle for city wear. I get compliments when I have this color on!
Essie Marshmallow
There’s nothing more classic than a winter white polish and this simple shade is no exception.
Okay, so there’s my list. What are your favorite nail colors for winter?
