Hair Bows
Y’all. If there is one thing I learned on Black Friday, it’s that hair bows are back in a major way. And not just bows – headbands too. Basically all your feminine, frilly hair accessories are perfectly acceptable to rock in 2019!! Woo! Places I’ve seen tons of cute bows – Anthro, J. Crew, Etsy, and Nordstrom … I like this pink velvet bow, this lavender silk headband, this magenta velvet headband, and this black and white striped bow. Blair Waldorf would be so pleased.
White Tea
In the winter, I tend to drink more hot tea in the afternoon and evening because it just seems cozy and warm. But because it’s so late in the day, I don’t want to be drinking my usual earl gray or even green. Until a couple of weeks ago, I had forgotten how much I love white tea. For those of you not tea obsessed, white tea is a lightly processed tea that has very low caffeine. This one I have at home is a bit too sweet for me, so let me know if you have an awesome white tea you love!
Holiday Cookies
I’m not usually a baker – or a cook at all for that matter – but if I have one weakness (I have a lot …) it’s this holiday cookie recipe from Inside Bru Crew Life. There’s peppermint, Oreo chunks, and cream cheese. Plus, they’re easy enough for me to make! Highly recommend trying this recipe.
Body Oil
Ah, winter, the season of dry and flaky skin. Yay. I pulled out my favorite post-shower body oil last week and remembered why I love it so much. It smells yummy and doesn’t feel greasy at all. It absorbs right into your skin, leaving you silky. Way better than lotion!
Winky Lux
Just before Thanksgiving I had a friend in from out of town. We had time to kill one afternoon, so we stopped by the new Winky Lux store right next to Nordstrom to see what it was all about. They had a number of different themed rooms for photo ops – one with a full flower wall, one with clouds hanging from the ceiling, and a full mirrored disco room! We also got to test some of the products and we both wound up getting this matte lip whip. The best part was – all the rooms were free to walk through!
