Does anyone else feel like this week is flying by? I mean, how is it already Thursday?! I’m still recovering from the floating bar in the Bahamas and gearing up for a fun next few days! I am going to a happy hour for my alumni association, picking up my bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding, and checking out a family friend’s art show in the neighborhood! Before I get to that, though, here are the things I love this week …

Flamingo Remote Holder

I have a confession, I’m a bit crazy about things in my house having a home. And that includes the TV remotes. Especially since one of my cats figured out how to turn on the TV in the middle of the night. These days I’ve been simply putting them in a drawer, but to me, there’s no greater luxury than a fun remote box. It’s something I get made fun of for frequently, but they really are a nice touch.

So, imagine my excitement when I found this flamingo remote box! In all honesty, I probably couldn’t use it since it’s open and the cats would still mess around with them, but I love the concept so so much. There’s also a matching tissue box holder that’s just brilliant. Hmm, that price tag, though … eeesh!

Lilly Pulitzer Swim Suit

As you can imagine, finding a swim suit that worked on my pre-surgery bod was more than a bit difficult. I’ve learned that trying on suits isn’t particularly fun no matter what size you are, but I am super happy I found one I love from Lilly. I tested it out in the Bahamas last weekend (hello, floating bar and water slides) with my only complaint being the interesting tan lines that ensued …

Acrylic Earrings

Acrylic earrings are seemingly in right now, so I snagged this gorgeous pink and blue pair on Etsy for a steal!! These are actually my first order from this shop, but I’ve talked about it before because I love how she makes on-trend designs at a low price point so you can try new styles! Another good pair I found on the lower end of the cost spectrum are these from Amazon. If you’re looking to invest in a nicer pair, I like these and these.

Fall Shoes

This may be a weird statement, but I love fall shoes best of any season. Winter you’re obviously in big, functional boots; spring you have to really consider if the shoes you’re wearing can get wet; and summer is sandals galore. But fall? You get booties, and suede, and pure fun! I’m low key obsessed with this design from Sole Society, but am curious about the price point. Has anyone worn shoes from Sole Society before? Do they seem to hold up well? Made with quality materials?

Simplified Planner

If you’ve been following me for long (or, like, a day) you’ll know I’m a big planner. Every year I painstakingly make my own custom planner using PowerPoint and a professional-grade printer. I even have the covers laminated and the pages bound at my local Fed Ex. I love being able to tailor the design and pages, but it takes a ton of work.

Yesterday Emily Ley released her 2019 Simplified Planners and I love the daily design (both inside and out). I went ahead and got one that I’ll start using in January – duh – and if I find it’s not customized enough for my taste, I can always go back to my old design.
