Y’all. It’s officially 6 weeks post-op and I got the best email ever today. Actually just one sentence:
“You many now resume all normal activities.”
I might have cried. Okay, I did cry.
For the rest of the week you can find me lifting weights, carrying my new (giant) purse, and sleeping on my stomach. I might even go to the hot tub at the gym. Very glad to be seeing the light at the end of the surgery tunnel.

Biena Chickpea Snacks
The folks at Biena Snacks were super nice and sent me a HUGE box of chickpea snacks to try! It sounds really specific, but I’ve actually written about my love of roasted chickpeas a couple of times now – here and here. So needless to say, I was pumped. The verdict: making them fresh is still the best, but who has time for that?! My favorite of the Biena flavors – sea salt for savory, and honey roasted for sweet.
Next week I’m headed to Colorado for a bit, and I plan to take a few bags as airplane and hiking snacks.
Girls Crew Jewelry
I found this brand on Instagram and am obsessed with pretty much everything. You know I love dainty jewelry with a bit of color. This ring totally jumped out at me, but I also love this necklace and this ear cuff.
Old Navy Kids
You know I rarely talk about kiddos because, well, I don’t have any, duh. But, I do have an adorable nephew (6) and niece (4) who I get to see in a couple of weeks! While shopping this weekend, I popped around the Old Navy kids section to see what I could find for my niece. The. Cutest. Stuff! Why don’t adults get sequined star purses and lip-print leggings?!
Dresses
As I keep shopping more with the “new bod,” I’m discovering I really love dresses! I mean, I always loved dresses, but it used to be pretty hard to find one that fit. Not anymore! I got two of these (one floral and one black) from the N Sale, I got my bridesmaid’s dress for a friend’s October wedding and surprisingly love it, and I got this cute dress at J. Crew Tuesday night. Now to find a pair of wedges to wear with all of these …
Hairbrushes
I have a confession. I’m 31 years old and just got my first hairbrush since high school. It was gifted in a swag bag from an event at Kelly Cardenas Salon and I almost threw it away since I never use one. But something told me to try it. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME HOW AWESOME A HAIRBRUSH IS?! This is the one I got and I like it, but now taking recommendations on best hairbrush ever!
Thinking about it, how absurd is it that two things I’m discovering I love this week are “dresses” and “hairbrushes?” What’s wrong with me?! What about you – what’s on your love list this week?
