This spring I posted a shopping wish list since I didn’t want to buy clothes before the surgery. Now that my size has evened out, I’m excited to actually be able to shop (not just wish) for some new styles I love!
I did a major closet cleanout last weekend and found that while many of my work tops still work fine, I could really use some more casual long sleeves. I did some digging and put together a fall shopping guide – some things I’d love but will skip for now and some I’ve actually bought.

Claire’s Fall Shopping Guide
Fall Shopping Guide: Shirts & Sweaters
1. We the Free by Free People Tangerine Tee – I’m headed to Nordstrom on Wednesday and plan to try this on. I’d love it in white as a basic fall tee that could go with anything.
2. Point Sur Eyelet Top from J. Crew – I’m obsessed with the Point Sur line at J. Crew and this eyelet top is no exception.
3. Crinkle Long Sleeve Lace Trim Blouse from Gap – If you’ve been following on Instagram, you’ll know I can’t get enough olive green this season.
4. Blue Textured Sweater from LOFT – Since I only go into the office a couple times a week, I really need more casual tops to bum around the neighborhood in.
5. Velvet Tank from J. Crew – I love almost all of the colors in this velvet tank. Would look great under a blazer!
6. Yellow V-Neck Blouse from LOFT – Okay, more of a top for the office, but I’m totally digging the color.
7. Purple Ruffle Neck Blouse from Nordstrom – Another work top, but the color, the ruffles, everything.
Fall Shopping Guide: Bottoms
8. Orange Faux Leather Skirt from LOFT – Love this cute pleather mini from Loft. Can imagine with a cream colored sweater and brown boots.
9. Red Pixie Ankle Pants from Old Navy – This is my go-to pant for the office and I love this red color!
10. Denim Mini Skirt from Gap – Ugh, I know, jean skirts are so 2004, but I’m not going to lie, I want one so bad!
Fall Shopping Guide: Dresses
11. Point Sur Green Floral Dress from J. Crew – I got this dress in August and it’s the perfect design to transition into fall.
12. Chambray Shirt Dress from J. Crew – I love a chambray dress for the fall and J Crew seems to be fitting really well post surgery. I’ll be trying this on Wednesday as well!
13. Red Floral Dress from Target – Loving floral dresses this season. Obviously, this seems more summer, but I think it’d be super cute with a denim jacket over it.
14. Golden Floral Wrap Dress from J. Crew – Yes, another floral dress. But this one has long sleeves! I love the pattern too.
Fall Shopping Guide: Shoes
15. Blush Suede Booties from Nordstrom – This season I’m dying for a pair of blush booties. I may try to look for some that aren’t suede though or a budget pair since I can never seem to keep suede shoes looking nice.
16. Black Bow Pointed Flats from Amazon – I thought mules would be out by now, but I keep seeing these everywhere. I have a very similar pair to this in pink, but I’m thinking black would be perfect for fall!
17. Brown Suede Slouchy Boot from Banana Republic – Yeah, I’m no good with suede, but I do love the look of these. Mainly that the heel makes them a bit dressier than my riders.
Fall Shopping Guide: Accessories
18. Mauve Velvet Headband from Duende Décor on Etsy – My awesome friend Tiffany makes the most amazing turban headbands and the velvet ones are to die for. I have it in olive green (shocker) and love wearing it with a pony tail.
19. Gold Bar Bracelet from Banana Republic – Minimalist jewelry is in these days and while it’s hard to give up all that chunkiness, I really do love a delicate bracelet like this one.
20. Mixed Crystal Necklace from LOFT – And in that same breath, I’ll admit I’m not quite ready to give up my rhinestone statement necklaces, so there.
Fall Shopping Guide: Outerwear
21. Pink Quilted Puffer Jacket from LOFT – I think the thing I love most about this puffer is its lack of puffiness. Seems like it would be really flattering.
22. Black Utility Jacket from Gap – I have a – you guessed it – olive green utility jacket, but I want one that’s black and that doesn’t have a hoodie so I can dress it up a bit.
23. Ripped Denim Jacket from Nordstrom – I’m loving a ripped jean jacket to add contrast to an outfit. I got one that’s really similar from Old Navy and have been wearing it a bunch!
24. Black Faux Leather Moto Jacket from LOFT – The last item on my fall wish list that I have yet to find the perfect one is a moto jacket. I love this one and need to get to LOFT to try is on ASAP!
