Has anyone else felt like it’s been a crazy week? It seems my to-do list keeps growing and I can’t work fast enough to get ahead of it. Today and Friday I’ll be in the office for full-day meetings, which will be a nice change of scenery, but means I won’t get much tactical stuff done.
Anyway, I have lots of fun things to share this week!
In The Moment: Things I Love on February 1, 2018
1. Pink Bow Mules | 2. Turmeric Tea | 3. Murad Retinol Serum | 4. Dark Teal Cabinetry | 5. Mini Planters
Pink Bow Mules
I’ve been pretty vocal about my dislike of the mule trend, but come on, blush, satin, and a bow?! You can’t go wrong. I have a hard time spending a lot of money on a style I know is a passing fad, so at under $30, these shoes may be a you-get-what-you-pay-for buy, but I’m okay with that. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I was writing this post while sipping a glass (or three) of champs, so these bad boys arrive tomorrow – I’ll keep you posted!
Turmeric Tea
Has anyone else heard about the virtues of turmeric tea a lot lately?? Some people use turmeric to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s, cancer, depression, and other serious diseases. I’m not sure how substantiated those studies are, but if the internet says it, it must be true.
The blend I got has carrots and ginger and is called Turmeric Glow as it supposedly leads to brightened skin. Regardless of legitimacy, the tea tastes good and is a fun afternoon treat. Here’s another less expensive option too.
Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum
Y’all, 30 has officially hit (well, 7 months ago). I’m suddenly noticing lots of lines and sun damage – yuck!! I’ve been playing around with serums and moisturizers and in just a week have fallen in love with this one from Murad for treating my forehead horizontals. Will it take the place of eventual Botox? Probably not, but it’s a very solid start!
Dark Teal Cabinetry
All over Pinterest, I keep seeing kitchens featuring dark teal cabinetry and I’m in love. Why do I not have my own house so I can do this? Probably to save me from myself because I’m sure in five years, this look will be out.
I mean, is it really a surprise that Queen Joanna is behind this trend??
Adorable Mini Planters
Question – if you surround yourself with lush houseplants is it really winter? I have always had a black thumb, but have really been wanting to get some house plants to liven the place up a bit. Plus, there are some seriously adorable planters out there. Like this one. These. And this absurdly expensive one that was pictured above.
I’m always looking for ideas of products and things to include in these posts! Have something I have to check out? Let me know in the comments!

Right? I love it! Glad I’m not the only turmeric tea fan as well! 🙂
